Scary, right? But what’s more frightening is the fact that for the majority of those 12 years, our bodies are idle, with glutes glued to chairs and backs hunched over computers. 

As the demands of the intense, often cut-throat world of work competing for our attention, we often ignore the importance of good posture, regular exercise and mental health. And the result? Our well-being gets relegated to the backseat.  

At HumbleWorks, we are no strangers to long workdays and poor habits. After endless hours cramped up in small offices and packed coffee shops, straining our backs and necks huddling over laptops, we decided that enough was enough. We realised that working well and keeping well didn’t have to be mutually exclusive, so we decided to make a change.

Who are we?

We are a fresh-thinking, proactive team of designers that exists to produce ergonomic, portable, sustainable standing desks that serve to improve people’s well-being. Standing up at work may sound challenging, but much like any other habit, it will seem like second nature before long. The trick is to take it slow. For every two hours of sitting, we recommend standing for one hour. You can gradually increase this over a period of time until you’re standing for an entire workday. Just find whatever works for you and go with it!
